Victory in Teva Extreme Race |

Kiwi boater, ‘Jared Meehan’, cleaned up the field in the Italian ‘Teva Mountain Games’, this weekend in the new Mystic Creeker. We carn't give all the credit to the new boat, Jarod has been NZ’s top performing slalom paddler for the last few years, as well as lining up the gnarl. Here’s some good pic’s and his story.

Hey All
Jared Meehan here mate, just won a race in Italy yesterday and thought i would keep ya posted. It was called the Teva Mountain games and was an extreme whitewater kayak race. The race is an invitational event so some of the best paddlers in the world were there competing over three days in four different races. So 1st place was 1000 euro dollars. Was super stoked to win as a year ago i was just out of shoulder surgery. There where 70 competitors in the race from all over the world. This is the 6th year that the race has been run and my first time to compete. The race was in Valsesia close to Milan in Northern italy. Has been won in the past by a kiwi competitor....Mike Abbot from Ch Ch. So now i fly down to Athens for my first world cup slalom race. I will meet up with the New Zealand team down there and start the World Cup Circuit which will end in Spain in 1 month.
So yea the area in Italy i have just been was really beautiful, the people were great, awesome italian food, and the rivers we raced on were outstanding.
